The excursion to the bird sanctuary in Bayswater was the first outing for the students as River Rangers. The students studied the area to investigate the biodiversity of the area. Students were amazed to discover the range of flora and fauna that was around once they learnt how to look using all of their senses instead of just their sight.
The second half of the excursion was run by Recfish. They showed students how to fish without destroying the environment. This experience was enjoyed by all, especially those who had never fished before.
