On Wednesday 21 September, our cadets visited Whiteman Park. The day began with an orienteering session around the village. The navigation skills learnt at school cane in handy and all groups navigated around the course quite easily.
Later in the day, cadets enjoyed “Snakes Alive”. Cadets learnt about first aid for a snake bite and then experienced the handling of snakes as well as seeing some of our state’s most venomous snakes.
We finished the day with a BBQ and had a River Rangers cleanup of the area. On what was a perfect day weather wise, students had a great time look forward to more River Rangers experiences next term.
